Conférence finale de la campagne de sensibilisation aux politiques d'inclusion et de protection sociale menée conjointement en Belgique, Roumanie et Bulgarie, avec le soutien du programme européen PROGRESS. Bruxelles, le 09 novembre 2010 de 8h45 à 13h00.

Constat
L'Europe veut clairement jouer un rôle en matière de politique sociale. La Stratégie EU 2020 adoptée en juin dernier s'est ainsi fixée pour objectif de réduire de 20 millions le nombre de personnes en situation de pauvreté dans les 10 ans.
Cependant, le principal outil que s'est donnée l'UE en matière de protection et d'inclusion sociale, la Méthode Ouverte de Coordination (MOC), reste pour beaucoup encore opaque.

Deux moments
Présentation des résultats de la campagne de sensibilisation menée depuis deux ans en Roumanie, Bulgarie et Belgique et des enjeux qui s'en dégagent.
Débat avec des acteurs de premier plan, sur l'avenir de la MOC et des politiques sociales européennes à l'horizon 2020.

As far as social policies are concerned, Europe clearly wants to play a role. The EU 2020 Strategy, adopted last year in June, has set, amongst its objectives, to lift over 20 million people out of poverty in the next 10 years. The main tool used by the European Union in order to promote social protection and inclusion policies is the "Open Method of Coordination (OMC)".

Two moments:
Presentation of the results of the awareness-raising campaign on social protection and inclusion policies carried out jointly, during two years, in Romania, Bulgaria and Belgium and of the stakes which are emerging from work carried out.
Debate with the main actors, on the future of the OMC and the European social policies by 2020.
